On Analog Circuits

Simulation Program with Integrated Circuit Emphasis is the standard for simulating analog circuits. It later became the standard for analog simulators. This chapter proposes studying two elementary configurations most commonly used in analog CMOS circuitry: common source mounting and cascode mounting. The maximum gain of a common source amplifier in CMOS technology is a few tens. The input resistance of the amplifier is therefore four times greater than the input resistance of one of the input transistors. Conception‐aided design programs for electronic circuits allow for a rapid calculation of the characteristics of a circuit that an electronics engineer has designed but has not made as a prototype. These programs generally allow continuous, periodic or transient analysis. As a result, it is possible to provide for the operation of this circuit very quickly and, taking into account these results, to modify the device.
