Bidding Strategies for EV Aggregators Considering the Aggregatable Capacity of EVs

In recent years, large-scale EV resources on the demand side have been connected to the power grid, which has brought about a non-negligible impact on the security and economic operation of the power system. How to integrate such flexible distributed resources as EVs and interact with the grid economically and securely is a major issue. In this paper, firstly, on the basis of considering the active charging response of EVs, a predictive model of the aggregator's aggregatable capacity of EVs is proposed, based on which a bidding strategy model for EV aggregators under the power day-ahead market is established. And based on the complementary theory and linearization method, the nonlinear mixed-integer two-layer planning problem is transformed into a single-layer mixed-integer linear planning problem to solve. Finally, the different bidding strategies adopted by EV aggregators are simulated. The simulation results show that this optimized bidding model can have a significant effect on the integration of EV resources, and can play a certain role of peak shaving and valley filling, while effectively reducing the aggregator's power cost.
