Research on the Damping Effect of Seismic Isolation Structures Based on Fuzzy Control Algorithm Under Near-Fault Ground Motion

In order to improve the damping performance of seismic structures in rare earthquakes, a seismic damping method based on fuzzy control is proposed. Firstly, the frog leaping algorithm is adopted to optimize the fuzzy rules, so as to improve the output results of fuzzy control algorithm. Then, by inputting the displacement and velocity of the isolation layer, the output voltage of piezoelectric friction damper is regulated by adopting the optimized fuzzy control algorithm, thereby reducing the structural response of the isolation layer and reducing the structural damage. The simulation results show that the damping effect of the seismic structure under fuzzy control and frog leaping-fuzzy control is improved compared with that without control, which proves the effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy control method based on displacement and velocity. Compared with the seismic isolation structure under fuzzy control, the maximum damping rate of frog leaping-fuzzy control is increased by 4.12% and 8.31% in the response of displacement and velocity, respectively, which proves the improvement effect of the proposed optimization method on the fuzzy control algorithm. The displacement and acceleration of the seismic structure adopting frog leaping-fuzzy control are decreased under different types and different intensity of ground motion, which proves that the optimized control method not only meets the demand of the isolation layer, but also has strong universality, and is worthy of further research and promotion.
