Multifunctional Polarization Transforming Metasurface for Multiband Applications

Crafted with precision, the Metasurface (MS) skillfully converts linear polarization to circular polarization. It has an orthotropic structure with two symmetrical axes (u and v) that are at right angles to the vertical y-axis and precisely perpendicular to one another. Operating frequencies with an impression range of 5.2-2.57 GHz, 7.7-8 GHz, and 10.8-11.2 GHz. This MS is ideal for tactical radar and communication systems operating in the C and X bands. Because of its anisotropic nature, which causes its properties to change depending on direction, it can withstand waves coming in at an oblique angle and yet remain stable. Impressively, the bandwidth where circular polarization is attained, the 3db axial ratio band, spans a remarkable 2GHz to 14GHz for both x- and y-polarized incidences. This MS is a broadband circular-polarization converter (CPC) in addition to being an excellent polarization converter. Because of its versatility, it is a very popular option for many radar and communications systems.
