Integrating Gas-Sensitive Layers on Rectangular Patch Antenna for Enhanced Gas Detection

The study explores Melanine, Zinc oxide (ZNO) and Ferric Oxide (Fe2O3) are the materials significant for their ability of sensing various gases. The Organic materials and polymers with the structure of melanine supports gas detection. However, Fe2O3 & ZNO are named for their ability of gas detection. When they are exposed to certain gases their surface conductivity changes making them suitable for gas detection. In the current investigation when the patch antenna is coated with Melanine, Zinc oxide and Ferric Oxide with thickness of 5 micrometers, these materials are strategically employed for the detection of gases, with a focus on observing changes in resonating frequencies of 2.4 GHz resembling the indication of gas presence. The investigation aims to enhance the sensitivity and specificity of gas detection in various applications.
