Hexagonal Patch Antenna with Slots and DGS for S and C Band Applications

In this work, a hexagonal patch antenna incorporated with slots and Defected Ground Structure is demonstrated. The hexagonal patch has a side length of 12 mm and an overall antenna dimension of
$35\times 36\times 1.6\ \text{mm}^{3}$
. The proposed antenna is operating over a frequency range of (3.27-5.12 GHz) resulting in a bandwidth of 1850MHz. At 3.55 GHz, the antenna's peak gain is measured to be 2.4 dBi. S and C bands are suitable for using the suggested antenna. HFSS software is used to carry out the simulations.
