UAV Based Radionuclide Distribution Mapping Method

By summarizing counting rate-based mapping algorithms and Compton scattering mapping algorithms, we find that counting rate-based mapping algorithms do not take geometric factors into account and may produce wrong results. The counting rate of Compton scattering mapping algorithms is too low and cannot obtain the all-purpose peak information, which limits the application range. In this paper, a real-time mapping algorithm based on filtered backprojection of radioactive activity is designed. This algorithm improves the accuracy of prediction mapping, predicts the radioactive activity distribution of soil surface in real time, and enriches the application range. Moreover, it can be mounted on unmanned carrier platforms, such as drones and robot dogs, to provide decision-making information for path planning.
