LTCC Antenna for WLAN Applications

In this paper a meander line antenna based on LTCC technology is proposed for WLAN applications. the antenna design consists of 3 layers developed on high permittivity ceramic chip of size 9×2×1mm3 and
$\varepsilon \mathrm{r} = 30$
. the study includes the effect on antenna performance due to different types of ground planes, location of antenna on ground plane. the results shows that the antenna characteristics like frequency, return loss, far field gain are significantly effect by the ground plane.
