A Non-Invasive Glucose Monitoring Using Double S-Shaped Antenna Band Stop Filter

In this work propose a double S-shaped antenna band stop filter and it has been chosen a defected ground structure (DGS) as a sensor for prophesy glucose concentration evaluation in human blood. The proposed microstrip antenna has two ports and it resonating frequencies are 3.216 GHz and 5.66 GHz. The proposed antenna filter has a size of 42 mm × 16 mm. The electromagnetic simulation environment is used for designing the real human finger phantom model at two resonating frequencies with different layers like skin, fat, blood and bone. Evaluating the concentration of glucose, it varies from 0 mg/dL to 1000 mg/dL and the corresponding shifts in frequency are identified by situating the finger at center position of the proposed antenna filter. The maximum shift in frequency of 132 MHz is obtained at the phantom is designed at 5.66 GHz and a minimum shift in frequency of 24 MHz is obtained at the phantom designed at 3.216 GHz.
