Attendance Management System Using Face Recognition and E-Mail Notification

An attendance management system is important for organizations and institutions to regulate attendance, thus a move to digital solutions is necessary. In this paper, we build an attendance management system using facial recognition technology with the M5Stack Unit V2. The system makes sure that identification and authentication operate correctly with the efficient FaceN et, which is a state-of-the-art face recognition algorithm developed by Google. A reliable digital database is used to store attendance records, and the MQTT protocol which is a secure data transmission protocol ensures their security and integrity. The system is tested by securing it to the wall near the door hinges at the entrance of a classroom at a 45-degrees angle from the entrance.
