Abstract:

We demonstrate a vertical-junction microdisk modulator with interleaved RF contacts and doped-silicon heater. We measure a resonance ER=36.5 dB, FSR=27.15 nm, and open eye diagrams at 32 Gb/s NRZ with 800 mV peak-to-peak driving signal.
