Circularly-Polarized Self-Homodyne Free-Space Optical Communication using Partial Stokes-Vector Receiver

We propose a circularly-polarized self-homodyne free-space optical (FSO) system using a partial Stokes-vector receiver (SVR) that enables polarization rotation-independent coherent signal reception. The advantage over the standard SVR is verified through a 100-Gbps FSO experiment.
