Blockchain-Based Trust Management Scheme Over the Spatiotemporal Features of Software-Defined Vehicle Network

Vehicle ad hoc networks (VANETs) have a lot of promise for enhancing traffic flow and addressing driving safety, however, they have not yet fully matured. The recent architecture cannot keep up with the swiftly expanding demand for cars as the number of intelligent vehicles rises. Additionally, the open character of VANET encourages unfair competition between vehicles. A trust evaluation and management method is developed based on the software-defined vehicle network (SDVN) architecture to address these issues and enhance the network performance of vehicular communication. The trust evaluation method considers vehicles’ spatiotemporal properties to control and standardize their behavior, improving the precision of malicious behavior detection. To promise the security of vehicle data and enhance the effectiveness of trust value updates and inquiries, the mechanism also suggests a trust management technique based on Hyper ledger Fabric, a blockchain-based consortium chain. Message consistency and security are ensured in the SDVN network by the proposed trust management mechanism, which also speeds up consensus and improves trust management’s overall effectiveness, according to experimental analysis.
