Design of Feed System Extruder for Recycled Wheat Paste 3D Printing by Experimentation and CFD Simulation

This project aims to utilize liquid deposition modeling in 3D printing by employing recycled Wheat paste and developing a suitable extruder capable of extruding the paste in large quantities for the purpose of printing large-scale models. Subsequent implementations may necessitate extruders of varying sizes based on the manufacturer's requirements, which calls for a systematic approach to manufacturing extruders of any scale. To accomplish this, it is crucial to simulate and assess the controllability of paste flow rates prior to hardware production. Consequently, the validation of a manufactured feed system will be compared to a Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation based on the same hardware design. The results of this comparison will be utilized to establish standardized manufacturing processes for liquid deposition 3D printers.
