Monitoring of Automated Hydroponic System using Intelligence Approach

Agriculture plays a significant role in the economy of the country. Hydroponics and aeroponics systems have emerged as the most important revolution in agriculture by considering a modern farming approach where crops can be grown without soil. Few studies have been conducted using machine learning and Internet of Things technologies in order to control the growing of hydroponic crops. The use of IoT contributes to systemize various factors such as level of water, pH, temp, light intensity, RH monitors. The work is proposing the creation of an intelligent, internet of things based Hydroponic System that uses natural methods to grow plants. The sensors in the proposed system use Raspberry Pi3 and thingspeak cloud for monitoring and controlling plant growth parameters to be collected from g rowing plants. The results from the proposed system show a graphical representation of processed data on things in cloud form.
