Effect of annealing temperature on stability of methyl ammonium lead iodide CH3NH3PbI3 structure

In this work we elaborated thin layers of Methyl ammonium lead iodide by the spin coating technique with different annealing temperature 70,120,180°C,the samples were studied by x-ray diffraction and UV- spectrophotometry to measure the gap energy and to see the absorbance of structures. We discussed the change of optical and structural properties such as layer thickness, degree of crystallinity change and how the percentage of phases PbI
2
and CH
3
NH
3
PbI
3
varied in the structures The results shows that the perovskite structure very sensitive to temperature such as a high temperature leads to a significant change in all characteristics and the structure of perovskite is almost completely lost when reaching 180°C as an annealing temperature.
