Research on Pavement Monitoring System of “Jingang Expressway” Based on Remote Data Transmission of 4G Networks

Early damage to asphalt pavement can not be found on the surface, and the lack of corresponding effective detection means, often can only passively wait for the development of its more serious visible disease can be found and disposed of 4G long-distance data transmission technology has the advantages of applying asphalt pavement information monitoring, including full area coverage and IP protocol support. Intelligent sensors are buried deep into the asphalt to collect information such as road surface temperature and weather data and use the 4G network to transmit data. The monitoring data will be sent to the data-receiving terminals through a 4G wireless network, to realize real-time monitoring which is unmanned and can save a large amount of data. Analysis of the control data shows that the peak in coating temperature lags behind the peak in ambient temperature and the peak in UV intensity, which can be used to prepare for the subsequent prediction of pavement life.
