Potential of Power-to-Gas process using CO2 captured from the Algerian extracted natural gas

Power-to-Gas is a source of great hope to overcome the challenges faced in the energy and environmental sectors. Among the driving forces behind are its contribution to the success of the energy transition and the reduction of the carbon footprint and the enhancement of energy resources. In the present study, the potential of exploiting this process in Algeria using the CO
2
removed from its natural gas is analyzed and discussed. The availability of the resources and the maturity of the different technologies entering in the Power-to-Gas process are reviewed. The results indicate that Power-to-Gas is not only possible but also represents the best solution to reduce the extracted natural gas carbon footprint
