Implementation Of Methods For Forecasting Electricity Generation In Crimea

The article assesses the information content of statistical data received from weather stations in the Republic of Crimea. For this, the location of weather stations and the distances between them were analyzed. Taking into account these distances and the terrain, an assessment of the wind energy potential was carried out, using the same type of turbines T600- 48 for the construction of wind farms as a general criterion. The average annual electricity generation and nominal power utilization factors are calculated for cases where wind turbines are located near weather stations. The areas most promising for the placement of wind farms, including in terms of information content, were identified, and an analysis was made when operating wind farms are located nearby. For sites remote from weather stations, the average annual electricity generation and nominal power utilization factors were estimated using the «nearest neighbors» method.
