Research of the Key Technology of Laying High Voltage Cables Using Municipal Tunnels and Bridges

The increase in urban power demand has led to the gradual development of urban high-voltage transmission networks into underground spaces, with the rate of cable-laying increasing year by year. In some special environments such as cross-river, cross-sea, etc., opening up new channels for laying high-voltage cables is a long and costly construction period. From the perspective of water channel, construction period and economic considerations, the use of municipal public tunnels or bridges to lay high-voltage cables can make full use of water channel resources, reduce the construction period, saving line investment. Therefore, for the special case of high-voltage cable laying with municipal tunnels and bridges, the article on the municipal industry, the electric power industry regulations and norms were interpreted, and the existing industry barriers were analyzed. At the same time, the article discusses the problems that may exist when high-voltage cables are laid in municipal tunnels and bridges based on the existing high-voltage cable laying experience. The feasibility of laying high-voltage cables in tunnels and bridges is considered, but the impact of tunnels and bridges on cable laying should be noted when laying power cables in more conventional channels.
