Efficient Modelling of Millimeter-wave Body Scan

An efficient approach for modelling 3D millimeter-wave body scan is introduced. For human body surface represented by the stereolithography (STL) format using numerous triangles, the proposed method converts each triangle to pre-calculated scattering points, with their quantity determined by the triangle’s area and the minimum wavelength. The signal received by a detector is computed as the sum of contributions from all scattering points. The method was validated by reconstructing a body using the generated data and comparison with HFSS SBR+ results and measurement data.
