Comparative Analysis of Various Energy Management Systems for Fuel Cell Hybrid Vehicle Based on Advisor

The research conducted a comprehensive comparison of six energy management Strategies (EMS) within the Advisor platform, including the two embedded EMS systems as well as four most common EMS systems; Fuzzy, State Machine, Equivalent Consumption Management System and PID controller. The findings revealed that the PID controller exhibited the most superior fuel economy, with the Fuzzy EMS. while the State Machine controller displayed the lowest fuel economy among the controllers, the PID controller consistently maintained the highest overall efficiency. Notably, all EMS models successfully preserved the vehicle's dynamic performance throughout this study. Furthermore, the PID controller demonstrated superior fast charging, emphasizing its effectiveness in energy manage-ment for the evaluated scenarios.
