Design of Six-Part Ten-Storey Elevator Control System Based on Siemens S7-1200PLC

With the continuous advancement of national urbanization, high-rise buildings are constantly emerging, and elevators have become indispensable to people's daily lives. Implementing efficient and energy-saving elevator control has become a research hotspot. This article takes Siemens S7-1200PLC as the core and uses the shortest distance scheduling algorithm to control six elevators on the tenth floor. A set of elevator operation control systems was designed, and the human-machine interaction interface of the system was drawn. After multiple simulations and debugging, the results show that this scheme can reduce passengers' average waiting time and ride time, significantly reduce elevator energy consumption, and increase passenger capacity within the specified time. The optimized system increased the number of passengers transported to the original 168.42% while reducing the average riding time and average waiting time of passengers by 7.93% and 35.67%. Operators can monitor and modify elevator operating parameters in real-time on the HMI interface, facilitating supervision and management.
