Fuel Economy Optimization Strategy for Diesel Engines under Particle Swarm Optimization Algorithm

Traditional optimization methods often fail to fully consider multiple parameters and complex interrelationships in diesel engine systems, resulting in insufficient potential for performance optimization. Through the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm, the optimal parameter combination is found in complex and variable diesel engine systems to achieve maximum fuel economy. The fuel consumption rate is related to SOI (Start of Injection), IP (Injection Pressure), IQ (Injection Quantity), CR (Cylinder Compression Ratio), and Air Fuel Ratio (AFR). The initialization particle swarm uses each particle to represent a possible parameter combination, and optimizes the fuel economy of diesel engines by iteratively updating the speed and position of each particle.
