The VdW Heterostructure Controllable Fabrications

Summary

Van der Waals (vdW) heterostructures can provide various possibilities to construct sophisticated electronic, optical, and memory devices. Constructing a vdW heterostructure is a prerequisite for high‐quality performance. Here, we summarize the most advanced vdW heterostructure construction strategies from three aspects, including typical large‐area wet transfer technology, controllable selective synthesis technology, and precise dry stacking technology; describe and compare the different alternative methods available in the literature; and illustrate their potential in the fabrication of vdW heterostructures. These strategies strongly depend on various factors in the construction process, including surface quality, angle control, and sample size. The summary of these strategies and techniques will provide a valuable reference for the construction of new architecture devices.
