Programming Techniques in Verilog II

Verilog hardware description language mainly has four design levels with the behavioral model as the highest level of abstraction. Both combination and sequential circuit designs can be done at the behavioral level. The programming concept in the behavioral model is almost similar to C language. In the highest level of the behavioral model, each statement execution is performed through a triggering signal. This chapter provides information on the behavioral model of combinational and sequential circuits. In the sequential type of digital logic circuit, the output depends on both present state inputs and past outputs of the circuit. A sequential circuit has memory elements which store the outputs of the circuit.
