Model Driven Based PMU Data Calibration Method Considering Time-Varying Characteristics of Line Parameters

The paper proposes a model driven PMU phase data calibration method to address the issue of PMU phase data errors caused by UTC time tag. Firstly, at a short-term scale, it is considered that the line parameters are fixed. The distribution parameter model of the transmission line was simplified using correction coefficients, and the simulation results showed that the accuracy met the requirements. Based on this, a π type equivalent model was established. By utilizing the mutual calculation of PMU data at both ends within the same time period, the available PMU data segments are determined. Combined with the equivalent model of the transmission line, PMU phase data calibration is achieved; Secondly, at a long-term scale, it is considered that the line parameters are unknown. Constrained by the basic relationship between voltage and current in the transmission line model, multiple sets of PMU data at different time periods are used to obtain the calculated values of resistance parameters. Through the variation trend of resistance in the parameter conversion formula, the available PMU data segments are determined then the line parameters within the current time period are obtained and brought into the transmission line model, to achieve the calibration of PMU phase data.
