Protection and Control Device Platform and Key Technologies for Adaptive Multifunctional Integration

The integration of multiple functions in Protection and Control devices has become the trend of smart substation technology. Meanwhile the high integration of business also brings about mutual influence and interference between functions modules within the single device. This paper proposes an device platform architecture that integrates multiple data exchange buses, and the embedded platform with flexible assembly modular units and isolated operation modules is proposed based on a fusion of multiple data exchange buses for Protection and Control devices. The hardware module can be configured on demand through the combination of communication interfaces such as Ethernet and CAN. In addition, the module running environment fenced isolation technology blocks the spread of the fault, which improves the reliability and stability of the multi-function integration devices. Finally, the platform architecture are verified with designed multi-functional fault isolation test scheme.
