Application of Intelligent Optimized Adaptive Disturbance Rejection Control in Fuel Cell

The general efficiency of a proton exchange membrane fuel cell is correlated with the oxygen excessive ratio (OER). However, the regulation of OER is challenging to design because of systematic uncertainty and frequent fluctuations in load. For the purpose to track the optimal oxygen excessive ratio, this paper employs an active disturbance rejection controller. The particle swarm optimization finds the controller parameters based on the best tracking performance and the least amount of control adjustment. The simulation results show that the proposed control is superior to commonly PID controllers in terms of integral absolute error, overshoot, control variation, and adjustment trajectory.
