Bidding Model for Shared Energy Storage Participation in Multi-Market Considering Multi-Timescale Demand

Shared energy storage (SES) can participate in multi-market transactions to satisfy the multi-timescale demand. A bidding model for SES to participate in multi-market which considers multi-timescale demand is proposed to improve the economic benefits of SES. Firstly, the net load curve is decomposed based on the intrinsic timescale decomposition (ITD) method, and the mapping relationship between multi-timescale demand and multi-market is established by quantifying the peak, frequency modulation and capacity tenancy demand. Secondly, a double-level master-slave game bidding model is established for SES to participate in the multi-market, in which SES, as the upper leader, aims to maximize its own benefit, while consumers, as the lower follower, aim to minimize the cost of purchasing electricity, to realize SES participation in the multi-market game bidding. Finally, the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker (KKT) is used to transform the double-level model into a single-level mathematical programming problem, and the validity of the model is verified by test system analysis.
