An Assessment Method for Operational Situations of Distribution Networks with High Proportion of Distributed Photovoltaics

The access of high-ratio distributed photovoltaics (PVs) brings many new challenges to the operation and scheduling of distribution networks. In order to assess and predict the operational state of distribution networks with high percentage of distributed PVs., this paper proposes an assessment method for operational situations of distribution networks with high proportion of distributed PVs. Firstly., a set of operational state assessment index system of distribution networks is constructed for the possible operational problems of distribution networks with high percentage of distributed PVs. Then the specific assessment of the operational state of the distribution network at typical time sections and the comprehensive assessment of all time sections are realized through the index radar charts and the comprehensive assessment curve respectively. Finally., in conjunction with load forecasting., generation forecasting., and the proposed assessment method., an assessment of the operational situations of the distribution networks is achieved. Through simulation analysis of the IEEE 33-node distribution network., the feasibility and effectiveness of this method have been verified.
