Small-Signal Stability and Additional Damping Control of Wind-Solar-Energy Storage System

With the increasing share of renewable energy sources in the global energy supply, the significance of wind-solar-energy storage systems is growing. In order to investigate the small-signal stability of wind-solar-energy storage systems and propose enhancement measures, this paper first establishes mathematical models for doubly-fed induction generator, pho-tovoltaic power generation system and energy storage system. Subsequently, a small-signal stability analysis of the system is conducted based on the eigenvalue analysis method. Finally, for the weak damping modes, additional damping controllers are implemented on the corresponding modules according to the participation factor analysis results. Simulation results and eigenvalue variations demonstrate that this approach effectively mitigates oscillations and achieves small-signal stability.
