Demand-side Flexibility Resource Planning Optimization Model Considering Multi-objective Constraints

With the increasing of the penetration of renewable energy, the volatility and stochasticity on the source side in the power system are intensified, and it is urgent to fully exploit the various demand-side flexibility resources to solve the problem of insufficient flexibility in the power system. To address the above problems, this paper carries out a study on demand-side flexibility resource planning considering multi-objective constraints. Firstly, based on the regulation direction, regulation capacity and regulation rate, the concept of generalized spinning reserve of new power system is introduced. Then, considering the constraints of guaranteeing system power supply reliability and renewable energy accommodation, a collaborative planning model for demand-side flexibility resources, including distributed generation, demand-side response and distributed energy storage is established. Finally, a simulation study is conducted based on the data of a provincial grid in northern China in 2022 to verify the validity and applicability of the models and methods proposed in this paper.
