Optimal Restoration of Distribution System under Multiple Faults Considering Outage Propagation

With the development of power utilities, the operation of distribution systems (DSs) has become more and more complex. The increasing frequency of various extreme events has caused multiple faults and major outages in distribution systems, affecting people's production and life. Especially in real distribution networks, unlike main grids, the number of switches for fault isolation is limited, so it is necessary to study the optimal load restoration strategy that satisfies the operational constraints after distribution system faults while considering outage propagation. In this paper, an optimal load restoration method for distribution systems considering outage propagation is proposed and its effectiveness is verified using the modified IEEE 33-node test distribution system.
