Power Grid Flexible Partition and Regional Flexibility Assessment Based on Complex Network Theory

The great uncertainty caused by the high proportion of new energy connected to the grid leads to increased randomness in the power grid and the problem of supply and demand balance. To introduce appropriate grid flexibility resources and accurately measure the degree of power grid flexibility at multiple grid levels, this paper proposes flexible zoning of power grids and flexibility assessment of regional power grids based on complex network theory, focusing on the spatial nature of flexible resources. First, based on the traditional zoning method for screening key transmission sections, the degree of node flexibility is considered to conduct flexible zoning of the power grid. Based on the zoning, starting from the flexibility of transmission channels and nodes, the flexibility of the zones is further evaluated. The method proposed in this article can effectively evaluate the impact of load and new energy output fluctuations on transmission capacity and identify areas of insufficient flexibility in regional power grids, demonstrated in test results on a modified IEEE 39-node system.
