The Electricity Spot Market Clearing Method Considering the Participation of Electric Energy Storage Based on Capacity Compensation Mechanism

In order to encourage the electric energy storage to actively participate in the electricity spot market trading and realize the effective coordination of multiple electric energy storage in the electricity spot market, this paper proposed a method of electricity spot market clearing under the participation of electric energy storage considering capacity compensation. The flexible invocation price declaration mechanism and capacity compensation pricing mechanism of electric energy storage are designed. The integrated cost function of electric energy storage will be defined, taking into account its flexible call cost and capacity compensation cost. Taking the lowest comprehensive cost of electricity and storage as the optimization objective item, the electricity spot market clearing model considering the compensation of electricity storage capacity was constructed. Compared with the traditional model, this model not only requires the lowest comprehensive cost of electric storage, but also requires that the new energy consumption benefit exceeds the flexible call cost of electric storage. Finally, a numerical example based on the actual data of a provincial power grid was constructed to verify the effectiveness of the proposed method. The example results show that the market operation organization can influence the income of electric energy storage by adjusting the capacity compensation coefficient, and realize the reasonable guidance of electric energy storage construction investment.
