Modular and Optimal Combination Strategy for Microgrids

In response to the lack of unified technical principles and configuration specifications in the capacity configuration design of microgrid projects, most design schemes have strong individuality and poor universality, and there are problems such as unreasonable equipment configuration. This paper focuses on the modular design concept of intelligent microgrids, and divides the components of microgrids into different modules based on different elements within the microgrid, analyzing the characteristics of distributed power sources, energy storage, and other modules. On this basis, according to the full life cycle cost of each module, a full life cycle optimization model of modular microgrids is established, and an improved simulated annealing particle swarm optimization (SAPSO) algorithm is used to solve the model, so as to give the optimized combination configuration results of each module in a specific application scenario. Finally, simulation verification is carried out through examples, taking the actual wind and solar data of a certain place as an example to verify the effectiveness of the proposed model and algorithm. By comparing and analyzing the configuration results of two different operation modes and different operation methods, it is shown that, based on the modular configuration of microgrids, the optimal solution of the model can ensure the best economy of investment, and obtain good social and economic benefits, providing a theoretical basis for standardized modular microgrid configuration schemes.
