A Modeling Method for Clearing the Intra-Provincial Electricity Spot Market Considering Inter-Provincial Spot Market Trading

Since the new round of power system reform, the construction of China's power market has been steadily advancing. At present, a two-level spot market system has been preliminarily established for the coordinated operation of the inter provincial spot market and the intra provincial spot market. There is a coupling relationship between the inter provincial spot market and the provincial spot market, and the market entity bidding results of the inter provincial spot market will to some extent affect the trading volume and price of the intra provincial spot market. Improper connection of inter provincial spot clearance results, which may lead to an increase in the price of the intra provincial electricity spot market. This paper introduces the clearing mechanisms of inter provincial spot markets and intra provincial spot markets, and analyzes the connection methods of two-level spot market. Then an optimized clearance model was proposed. The case study demonstrates the effectiveness of the clearance model.
