Visualization of Rainfall Classification using Rain Gauge based on Website

Rainfall is one of the weather parameters that has an essential role in everyday life. Rainfall information is an important parameter in various fields. Automatic Rain Gauge (ARG) is one of the instruments to measure rainfall in real-time and automatically. ARG can be utilized in building a rainfall monitoring system. Rainfall can be classified into very light, light, moderate, heavy, very heavy and cloudburst categories. This research aims to visualize rainfall classification using ARG based website. The ARG used is equipped with a reed switch sensor to measure rainfall around the tipping method, then the data is processed using a datalogger and sent from the observation site to cloud server. It displayed in an interface in the form of a website information system equipped with historical observation data, rainfall data in real-time, and accumulation in the form of graphs, tables, and rainfall intensity status. Before being used as information, the reed switch sensor is calibrated to determine corrections, uncertainties, and errors to support the accuracy of sensor measurements. The results of calibration is it has range of correction values at −0.01 mm to 0.09 mm, uncertainty values of 0.12 mm to 0.16 mm, and error values of 0.14% to 2.86%.
