A Multi-Period Analysis Method for Dispatch Potential of Electric Buses

In this study, we propose a multi-period analysis method for dispatch potential of electric buses in response to the shortage of dispatch resources on the generation side. The approach aims to explore the dispatch potential of electric buses as a demand-side load resource, alleviating the inadequacy of generation-side dispatch capacity resulting from the integration of a large amount of new energy sources into the power system. Firstly, it comprehensively considers factors closely related to operational needs, including the number of charging vehicles, the number of charging piles and so on. Subsequently, by dividing a day into multiple time periods and analyzing the operation and charging behavior within each time period on both workdays and holidays, a quantitative evaluation method for the dispatch power and duration of electric bus clusters is provided. This approach could serve as a useful tool for exploring potential optimizations in electric bus dispatching and charging strategies.
