A Resource Allocation Method for Power Systems Considering the Characteristics of Nuclear-Storage Joint Operation

In view of the fact that the vigorous development of renewable energy (RE) can effectively alleviate the increasingly serious world energy crisis, RE such as wind power, photovoltaic and nuclear power (NP) may become the main energy to support the power system in the future. However, wind power and photovoltaic power generation are easily affected by environment, weather and other factors, and have great uncertainty, which is not conducive to the peak regulation (PR) of the power system, and it is difficult to meet the needs of rapid response to load changes. For the benefit of solving the problem of insufficient peak regulation capacity of nuclear power, it can be considered to establish a long-term bundling cooperation mechanism with a certain capacity of PR power supply, and jointly carry out PR to match the actual load changes of the power system. In this paper, according to the characteristics of NP, the operating characteristics of NP units are proposed, and then as a part of the local power planning model, considering the optimal configuration of NP and energy storage system (ESS) for local power planning. Through the verification of the XJTU-ROTS test system, it is proved that the combined peak regulation of nuclear-storage can effectively improve the regulation ability of nuclear power units.
