Optimization Of Fast Charging System For Electric Bicycle

The growing demand for an eco-friendly, efficient and fun type of urban transportation has made an increase in the popularity of electric bicycles (e-bike). The popularity of e-bikes has been increasing due to growing awareness of nature and the use of eco-friendly products. However, these e-bikes have a major problem with charging time. To address this problem, the project seeks to find a method for a fast charger with an efficient design and cooling system with appropriate safety features in an existing charger while being budget-friendly. The primary goal is to significantly reduce the charging time while maintaining the safety and longevity of the battery of the e-bike and also doing a comparative analysis on the existing chargers. The charger's design involves the selection of various suitable components based on the requirement of the charger such as high capacity transformer, efficient control circuits, cooling circuits, efficient converters, robust safety features and other charging circuits. Simultaneously searching for the necessary adjustments for the battery's Battery Management System (BMS). The key aspect of this project is to find the most efficient fast charging method to create an efficient and safe fast charging system for an electric bicycle. This abstract provides an overview of the various methods developed for the creation of a fast charging system while emphasizing the importance of safety and efficiency. The final product aims to provide e-bike users with a fast and dependable charging solution, enhancing the convenience and utility of this increasingly popular sustainable urban transport mode.
