Research on Spot Market Clearing Method of Electric Energy Storage based on Quantity Declaration Mode

To make full use of the flexible regulation characteristics of electric energy storage and solve the problem of insufficient use of electric energy storage under traditional self-scheduling mode, a spot market clearing method of electric energy storage based on electricity declaration mode was proposed. The costs of electric storage are closely related to times and the quantity of charge and discharge. Thus, the energy declaration mode of electric energy storage is proposed based on the operating cost characteristics of electric energy storage. Under this declaration mode, the price of electric energy storage declaration is different from the price under the self-scheduling mode. Market operating institutions construct spot market clearing model, and the charge and discharge times and amount of electric storage are determined by centralized clearing. To verify the effectiveness of the method we proposed, an example was constructed based on the actual data of a provincial power grid. The example results show that the proposed method can reduce the power purchase cost of the grid by nearly 1%, under the same operating cost of electric storage.
