Breast Cancer Detection using RF Resonator in 5G Communication

This work presents a new approach for detecting early breast cancer using a bow tie antenna structure integrated on an “FR4” substrate and incorporating meta material concepts. The high-precision antenna was developed using CS T Studio Suite and PCB manufacturing technology. Optimized substrates in the 1.635 to 1.637 mm range complements antenna designs and improves overall performance. In particular, this antenna investigates the dielectric properties of breast tissue, which are important for distinguishing between benign and malignant abnormalities. A frequency selective surface (FSS) on the back of the antenna increases gain, and its bowtie configuration holds promise for detecting subtle abnormalities that indicate early breast cancer. The proposed design achieves improved bandwidth from 3.4 to 9 GHz (S11 > 10 dB) and peak gain of 6.2 dBi at 5 GHz with a meta material-based design. The surface current at 6.59GHz been noted as 25 amperes per meter. Specific abs orption rate (SAR) studies using a realistic hemis pherical breast phantom model demonstrate compliance with international safety limits over an average of 10 g of tissue. This fusion of meta materials and antenna design combined with dielectric analysis of tissues has great potential to significantly improve the sensitivity and specificity of detection methods and revolutionize early breast cancer diagnosis.
