Raspberry Pi-Enhanced Intrusion Detection System with Messenger API Integration

The study proposes a unique Intrusion Detection System (IDS) that makes use of the Raspberry Pi and messenger application programming interface (API) integration. Increasing cyber threats and the limitations of traditional detection methods necessitate the development of novel IDS system. Existing systems have limitations like poor reaction times, false positives, and less accuracy. In response, the proposed method makes use of the small but powerful Raspberry Pi network, which enhances efficiency of IDS system at low cost. Telegram messenger integration enables real-time alerts, ensuring users receive timely updates. The system proved excellent performance in detecting and mitigating various intrusion attempts in extensive experimentation and analysis. The system's effectiveness was demonstrated by a considerable reduction in false positives, an improved reaction time and accuracy. The combination of Raspberry Pi and Telegram messenger overcomes not only the inadequacies of traditional intrusion detection systems but also provides a cost-effective and accessible solution for small-scale applications, increasing the adoption of sophisticated security measures in a variety of situations.
