Computer Simulation and Optimization Design of a Safety Protection Device for Escalators

The handrail entrance of an escalator is the entrance and exit for the handrail to enter the interior of the truss. This area is equipped with a handrail entrance safety protection device according to relevant national standards and safety technical specifications, but there are still children's hands or fingers caught in the handrail turning end entrance, causing pinch injuries. This article proposes a technical solution for the safety protection device at the turning end entrance of escalator handrails, and uses computer simulation technology to optimize the design from three aspects: mechanical analysis, structural analysis, and vibration analysis, in order to reduce or eliminate hand or finger injuries caused by long response time and small buffer space of existing safety protection devices, To reduce the safety risks of escalator operation and promote the practical application of this device.
