Implementation of islanding protection system into Simulink model

Presently days, nearly all power utilities require that the distributed generation ought to be disconnected from the network when there is a conceivable case of islanding without taking any chances. An islanding protection system at the point of common coupling (PCC) is proposed to monitor the power grid and protected the power plant from any tripping by islanding the power plant. This paper presents an analysis in Matlab/ Simulink the islanding protection of one grid system with multi power plants. The test results show that the proposed islanding protection system can detect islanding conditions with identified criteria.
