Modeling of the MIMO Communication System's Channel Matrix in Inhomogeneous Continuums

The paper considers a model of an inhomogene-ous continuums, which is a layered structure with varying permittivity. The modeling of the channel matrix in a quasi-continuously layered inhomogeneous continuums has shown that there are limitations on the area of the effective signal reception space. Histograms of singular numbers of the channel matrix are obtained, which allow optimizing the distribution of the total signal power according to the criterion of maximum channel capacity. The small spread of singular numbers proves the possibility of increasing channel capacity using spatial encoding and decoding of signals in a MIMO communication system in a inhomogeneous continuous.
