A High Step-Up Non-Isolated DC-DC Converter With Low Voltage Stress Across Transistor

Based on the coupled inductor and voltage multiplier cells (VMCs), a nonisolated ultrahigh step-up dc–dc converter topology is presented in this article. The secondary side of the coupled inductor is paired with VMC in order to raise the output voltage. Therefore, a higher voltage gain with lower duty cycles is achieved by combining the coupled inductor and VMC approach, thus enhancing the overall robustness of the system. In addition, VMCs suppress the peak voltages across the power switches that leads to mitigate the maximum voltage throughout the switches intensively. Continuous input current with lower ripple and ultrahigh voltage gain with very low voltage stress over the semiconductors are the main benefits of the suggested topology. A comprehensive discussion of the proposed converter's operational modes, steady-state performance, design process, and a comparison with other similar converters have been provided in this literature. Moreover, to illustrate the converter’s performance, an experimental prototype with a 240 W rating power, input voltage range of 14–60 V, and output voltage of 350 V at a switching frequency of 60 kHz was constructed, and the outcomes of the experiment are showcased.
