Sweat Glucose Sensor With SPCE Modified by CuO Nanorods

In this letter, we propose an alternative method of glucose sensing from human secretion to develop a noninvasive glucose sensor, which detects glucose level from humans’ sweat. We provide result analysis of cyclic voltammetry (CV), as well as repeatability, reproducibility, and glucose level monitoring from phosphate-buffered saline. We show the improvement in sensor fabrication throughput as compared with the traditional method. Moreover, we demonstrate the result analysis of glucose levels approximately equals the traditional blood glucose monitoring. The sensitivity of the sensor is 361.4 μAmM

in the linear detection range of 0–100 μM with a detection limit of 43.06 μM, which can identify the glucose level of diabetes patients with a glucose concentration of above 70 μM in sweat.
